Starting a new Art Journal
I can work in about four or five different sized Art Journals, so why starting a new one, you might ask? The reason is that my very first Art Journal was like a diary and I miss that. Nowadays I use my Art Journals to try new techniques and there's nothing wrong with that (as a matter of fact I still love it), but I miss documenting my daily life.
I am not only returning to documenting my daily life but also taking another approach on backgrounds. Normally I work at one page at the time. Now I printed six background pages with the gelli plate.
Below is the first page. I used Amsterdam golden paint, which you can see a bit better on the right picture. The colours of the bird, however, are better on the left picture.

I didn't have great adventures. I went to a garden center and celebrated Mother's Day, but often the little things in life are important. Here are my pages:
