Art Journal Gardening

I know it has been a while, but some serious gardening got in the way. My husband and I have been removing old fences, building raised beds, removing plants, removing our hen house and of course did a lot of weeding! The photo below shows the end result.

Gardening also gave me inspiration for an Art Journal page. It all started with a magazine photo. I love making stamps, so I decided to turn the picture into a stamp. Below you see the first set up of the page. The background consists of some gelli prints, cleaning of my brayer and using different stamps.

I had to do some fine tuning on the stamp, because my sister thought it was a man with a moustache! Very carefully I removed a small line of rubber. This is always tricky because you often remove too much rubber.

These last photos show (some of) the stamps I used.
Thanks for stopping by!
